Privacy & file deletion

PubRescue exists to convert your files, not to keep them. This page says what happens to a file you upload, in plain language.

Your files

• Uploads and converted results are deleted automatically 24 hours after conversion. A scheduled job removes them from storage; the results page shows the exact time.
• You can delete sooner: every results page has a "Delete my files now" button, which removes uploads and outputs immediately.
• Files are transferred over HTTPS and stored encrypted.
• Conversion is fully automated. Nobody on our team opens your documents unless you explicitly send us a file and ask us to look at it.
• We never use your documents to train anything, and we never share them with anyone.

What we keep

After files are deleted we keep the batch record you see in your account — file names, counts, dates, and the fidelity notes — so you can find receipts and know what you converted. If you paid, we keep a record of the file's content fingerprint (a hash, not the file) so converting the same file again never costs a second credit.

Accounts and email

We store your email address to sign you in (magic links, no passwords) and to send receipts. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card number never touches our servers. We don't send marketing email.
